a short story

ok i was just cleaning out my school shelf and found an old story i wrote in like 5th grade! it is 4 chapters long, so i'll keep working on it. meanwhile, i'll also be posting new chapters of "celtic chaos" each week. ok here is chapter 1! enjoy!!:)

chapter 1

stardust, a 15-year-old girl, grumbled as she was, once again, grounded, this time for stealing a purple lotus from a local electronics store. a few months ago if she'd done this sort of thing, before her parents became christians, she might have gotten away with just a scolding. "stardust!" her younger twin sisters, moondance and moonbeam whisper-shouted. they were 8 years old, with misty gray eyes and silvery blonde hair. "what are you two doing out of bed?" stardust asked, her voice softening. the girls glanced at each other."we wanted to say good night to you." they both said at once. "okay. well you should get back in bed now." stardust whispered. the twins scampered back to bed.

the next day at school, stardust rushed through her classes. she paused on her way past the teacher's desk after math. she stunk at math and they had a big test next friday. she glanced out in the hallway, but it was clear of teachers. then she rummaged through the stacks of paper on mr.phillip's desk until she found what she was looking for. she shoved it in her binder and hurried to lunch.
